I have a wireless network problem?
I have a Compaq evo n610c laptop running Windows XP SP3. I have a D-Link dwl-650+ wireless card. I have a Dynex wireless enhanced G router (2.4 ghz 802.11g). I can detect my wireless network, but when I try to connect, it never does. It is WPA2 protected, but I have the network key. I’ve configured my laptop to the router and downloaded the latest drivers for the wireless card. The card is turned on and as far as I know is configured to the network settings. I’ve tried everything- downloading drivers, changing settings, dowloading SP3, reinstalling software and restarting my laptop, but I still can’t connect! I can connect to the router via cable, but not through the wireless network. Can anyone help me?
99% guarantee that its and incompatibility issue with the d link wireless card . My husband has helped many people with the dynex router and the d link wireless card . As soon as he gets the same brand wireless card as the router this fixes the issue.I would recommend buying a cheap dynex brand wireless card and testing it out and if it doesnt work you can always return it if you buy it from walmart.
