D Link wireless router (dl-524 version E) – keeps asking for a password?
when i connect to the configuration site it asks me for a user name and a password. The manual suggests that I put ‘Admin’ in the user name and leave the password blank but it keeps asking for a password. i trid this on windows 2000 it was ok but my laptop has windows vista and that’s where i’m having the problem. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? Thank you.
Type in “admin” again as the password, or enter “password” for the password. If that doesn’t work and you are still being blocked by the router, then take a straight paper clip and stick it into the rested button on the back of the router, and hold it in for at least 10 seconds.

IF ALL THAT DOESN’T WORK: Check for a sticker on the bottom of the unit which contains another identifier, and enter that.
