d-link wireless router wbr 1310 reviews

I need help..i got a new notebook and we connected our router to our main desktop that has Yahoo DSL but now..

every 30 min or so our router slows down and kills our internet conection ” D-link wireless G router WBR-1310″ i was just reading the reviews and everyone says this router sucks! A-hole! so im off to the store and returning it..but now i want to know how can i connect my desk top computer that has dsl..so my laptop? There both in diff sides of the house..wondering if i can just take a ethernet cable? and hook them up or is it harder then it sounds? please anyone have step by step instructions?

It’s pretty easy. You can run an ethernet cable from the router to your desktop. Your laptop will automatically detect the connection. Make sure to password protect your wireless connection (usually by typing 192.168.1.1 in the address bar) so that you neighbors don’t steal your bandwith or download illegal content. The address, user name, and password are often written on a label on the router or the info should be in the documentation.
