Can anyone help me with my router?
Okay.
The problem here is that I want wireless internet.
So, I’m ganna need a router, yes?
So, I got the router.
And I try to set it up.
But, everytime it went to the part of the setup that says “waiting for router”.
It stays like that for a long time.
And in the end of waiting.
It says that “New router Not detected”
And I checked all the steps and started over again.
But, same thing happened
It was working before.
But, I think I did something when I was trying to change the router settings.
And I already tried to solve the problem by holding the reset button.
and that doesn’t work…
Please help me out.

I have a window XP laptop.
And a D-Link Wireless G Router. Model: WBR-1310.
You may need to follow the steps below to see if it works.
>Check physical connection. Make sure the ethernet cable from modem get connected to the WAN port of wireless router.
>Make sure one wired cable connects from LAN port of the router to your laptop. It is just a temporary one-time thing for router setup.
>On your computers, check your local network connection option, set IP “automatically obtain”
>Power on the router. Get in the router admin console through web browser from your laptop. If you did reset your wireless router, then the IP of the router and user/pass for router web console should be factory default one. You can find it in the manual or online.
>On the router console, enable wireless, enable DHCP, set wireless access password for security.
>After router first setup done. You can unplug the wired cable from router to the computer, it is a once-for-good thing.
>On your computers:,check your wireless network option, set IP “automatically obtain”, “DNS obtain automatically” as well.
>On your computer, Control Panel–>Network Connections, right click the wireless connection you just installed and choose “all available wireless connections”, find the router you have, double click it. Provide password. And go.
>Restart your router, modem and computer if needed.
