How do I share files (and printer) wired into a Netgear router?
I had no problems in the past sharing files between two XP Home computers. I recently formatted and reinstalled XP on my HTPC and I want to be able to share files from my main computer to my HTPC. I have a Netgear MR814v2 wireless router and am using it to connect both to my DSL via WIRED connections. I am using the same workgroup name, the firewall has sharing files as an exeception but the computers are still not able to even see each other on the network. Can anyone help?
I have a similar problem, I have to drop my firewall when I share files, crude, but effective.
