Windows Vista … Help?

Why does not my new Toshiba laptop truck my wireless internet connection? I have a Linksys Wireless Cisco Broadband Router and have used for years on my old Toshiba Satellite laptop never had a problem where whenever I was in the house or yard. It crashed after 8 hard years, so I bought a new laptop with Vista Home Premium. Everyone tells me I must pick up the signal without any problem. But not. Radar is collected about 4 or 5 with other signals that are insured, but not mine and only three feet away! I even tried Linksys USB Adapter and connected to a USB port. I downloaded the new drivers for it. Still nothing. I'm going crazy trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong. I'm not the least educated software in Vista as it did before XP. What steps do I have to allow the new laptop (which says it has built-in wireless for my signal.? If I plug the laptop directly into the router, I get the signal ok .. just not wireless wifi .. is on, too.

Remember Me updated the routers firmware? If the router is old, could not have been configured to allow light to recognize it. Try to contact Linksys and get the firmware flash very well again and should solve the problem. If not you may need to find someone better versed in networking … Abit I know on the subject, but not both. As soon as a perspective … coumputer automatically detect the compatible signal that interceptions of the antenna. If your computer has a different wifi card transmitting the router may never work together. Example, if you have a "sign of a router but ab / g / n wifi card then your systems will never talk to each other correctly … from what I know, there might be a way around this, however, as I said I would have to talk to someone with more knowledge in networks
