How do I configure this Static IP Network?

I am reconfiguring a network for my friend’s small business. It consists of 3 computers and one Dell Windows Server 2000 PIII Server. The hardwired router is a Cisco 800 series.

Our ISP, Cablevision Optimum, set up the network with 5 Static IP addresses.

I recently added a HP Media Drive (mini server) to the network via the router. Also, to add wireless capability and another switch, a D-Link Wireless-N router off of the Cisco.

I am now swapping one computer for another and want to rid the network of the old server, since it is not needed.

I am having trouble with the static IP addresses with adding systems. I want to implement a nice, clean running network, but the old systems are giving me issues.

Please Help!
They are external IP addresses. The only reason they used static is bc they run a RemotePC program, which no longer needs static and can use dynamic.

The real issue is, besides the storage capability, can I discard the server and still run static?

The problem may be that IP range is selected for only 5 or MAC has been registered by the router. Check the settings inside the router very carefully and you are bound to locate the problem.

keep it simple.
