linksys wireless router access point setup

How I can configure an access point to extend the reach of my wireless network?

I have a linksys WRT54G wireless router working as a door link on my network and I have a linksys wireless router WRT54GX2 supposedly can be configured as an access point to extend the scope of my current wireless network, but how I can set up?
