Two questions: It is better to leave laptop on or off? Can desktop computers have integrated wireless cards in them?
Is it better to leave the laptop (from standby or hibernation) in or out? I've heard that turning it on and off several times is really damaging for Guitar components laptop. I keep asking, but received mixed respnonses. I have wireless router (linksys) that has a cable (Comcast) internet line is attributed to then attached to the back of a desktop computer, which is not mine, and then I have a laptop computer that receives the signals and perfect my question is if I can buy reception desktop comp my room, you can also receive signals from the router or pc I have to get one that specifically has an integrated wireless card it? So I would have 3 computers running the same, and the router has a maximum of 4 possible. If this method does not work, is the only way I can access from internet to my room which is in another room from the router by running a long extension chord in my internet connection to router?
If you are using your notebook periodically throughout the day let into hibernation between uses. If you only use it once a day will turn off when finished. The second question, you can get a usb wireless card simply plugs into the USB port of your desktop. Belkin does and an excellent. You can buy at Walmart for $ 40 and you do not have to open your computer or to address whether or not you have a slot available. Link below
