How can I determine if my router supports Bluetooth connections to my PDA?
I have a Linksys Wireless B router (model BEFW11S4) and a Palm Tungsten E2 PDA. I can access the Bluetooth setup on the PDA, but I cannot find my router. I have been using the wireless router to connect to my laptop for years with no problem, but the manual does not say if the router is Bluetooth compatible and the PDA manual says that if I cannot find a device that maybe the Bluetooth settings are turned off.
I have gone into the advanced wireless settings and I don’t see anything there that indicates that there is a setting to change or turn on or off to activate Bluetooth connectivity.
Can I use my device, or do I have to purchase a new router?
Your wireless router doesn’t support Bluetooth. Bluetooth is a different technology then your wireless router. Try synching up your PDA with your laptop instead.
