How to increase the range of the D-Link Dir-655?
I just bought a D-Link 655 Wireless N router and it is setup next to my Westell Model 2200 modem. I have verizon dsl. The router is located downstares, and most of my wifi using products are upstares.
I have
2 Laptops (both wireless g)
1 Computer (Wireless B, but im getting wireless N adapter)
1 Ps3 (Wireless G)
1 Ipod Touch (wireless g)
I noticed that my signal strength in my room has barely increased. Before this router, i was using a Linksys BEFW11S4 Wireless B router and got like 30-40% in my room.
With this new router, i get maybe 40 -60% signal strength.
I have WPA2 enabled.
Is something wrong? This router cost me almost 100$ and I see no difference at all. Any help?
range is limited by obstructions like floor, walls and ceilings.
