Does the signal strength of wireless USB adapters deteriorate?
I have had several wireless routers, multiple wireless adapters, seems as if every year or so I have to buy all new equipment to keep my settings the same. I'm not really moving anything around, but seems that in time my signal seems to be getting worse. I have my secure network, I tried changing the channel on the router, I have a weak signal that used to be quite strong. I always assumed that these things go over time, every time there is a problem that must be the fact that my team and only shot I have to buy new things. Am using D-Link wireless adapters and a USB D-Link router. Dell used to have a router that "died" before me and a Linksys that lasted almost as long as other two.
Make sure you are connected wirelessly to your network and not a neighbor. You can check this by double-clicking the icon at the bottom right of the screen and check for wireless networks. The above is the one connected. If yours is not, then double-click and click on his link. You should be well now
