Xbox 360 to Linksys WRT54GS wireless router to Verizon Fios? Can you help?
Can someone please let me know how I can configure? I'm trying to go from the Linksys connected to the Xbox 360 to get a connection to my Verizon Fios wireless router. I keep getting "DNS." I've changed the settings the Linksys to a different IP address, but I'm not sure where to go from here. PLEASE HELP! Detailed instructions would be better NUMBERS – diagrams are useful! best answer 10 points. Very well is as follows: Internet (Coaxial) Wireless Router to Verizon Fios Fios After Router Linksys router Linksys router w / ethernet cable connected to the Xbox 360. ** How do I give a fixed "WAN IP Address? ** ** Do you have any diagrams or instructions? **
Let me understand what you are trying to make the Internet>> Verizon FiOS Router> Linksys Router>> Xbox where ">>" can be a CAT 5 cable or wireless connection If this is what he is doing what will not work unless you disable the DHCP function in the Linksys router and give a FIXED WAN IP address (one that will not conflict with the group of DHCP on the router Verizon) Otherwise – what you are doing is trying to put 2 routers on the same network. That can not work because you have 2 routers each trying to control the network and assign IP addresses. As you have discovered, the whole system crashes.
