linksys wireless router disconnects from internet
Cannot get wireless internet on the other side of my house?

I have a wireless linksys router it is connected to a cable modem thats connected to the PC. Can i disconnect my router from my cable modem and PC then move it. If not what should i do?

You cannot disconnect the router from the modem and it still work. The wireless router needs a signal source to work. If your house is wired with Cat5 connections, you can move the router and connect it to the modem through this method.

What you’ll need to do is buy a frequency extender for your existing router. This will extend a wider/longer signal to reach the other side of your house. They run, on average $50.

OR you can buy a new Wireless “N” router instead of the “b” or “g” router you have now. They have a wider range built in.
