linksys wireless router dsl problems
Why will my MacBook not connect to the internet via my Linksys wireless router?

My MacBook has stopped connecting to the internet. I have a DSL modem going into a LinkSys WRT54GS Wireless Router. My PC is connected with a Cat 5 cable to the router and accesses the internet with no problems. My MacBook recognizes and connects to the ROUTER but when Safari or Firefox is opened, the internet is not found. I have not had this problem before with my MacBook and have been connecting to the internet with this set up for months.

Network Diagnostics does not help/work.

What should I do?!?

Thanks!

double check the settings on your router to make sure that someone didn’t set a wep key on it. if they did, change the wep key to something you know and use that key.
what probably happened:
you had an unsecured wireless network.
some neighbor probably connects to it and set wep protection on it thinking it was their own.
