How I can get my laptop wireless in Windows ME and Linksys WRT160N Router?
I know that the router isn't compatible with Windows ME, but is there some hope to get wireless connection on my laptop? I try to download Linux, but there is something wrong with my drive and I do not know how and where obtain a new operating system for free and is compatible without having to burn a disc. Is there any software that you can download to do the job only wireless router? and please do not say "get a new laptop" or "buy a new operating system" because that is completely out of question! Thanks!
I think what we need is a piece of hardware to make your wireless laptop. That could be an antenna or a wireless USB wireless card. You do not say what kind of computer you have, so I can be more specific. Once you have a wireless connection, you should be able to use the Internet with Windows ME the same as if they were connected to a cable.
