Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router?
Okay a friend of mine gave me this product without the CD ROM disc and i went to Linksys support page for it it and it does not have the drivers for WRT54G – Wireless-G Broadband Router which i need should i just plug it in without the cd rom? i want to make a wireless connection i already have a wired connection on my PC any adice would be helpful.

You shouldn’t need any drivers. Often router manufacturers include all the necessary configuration utilities in the router itself. Try to do the following:
1. Plug in the router and turn it on
2. Connect it to your computer via ethernet
3. Open up your browser (internet explorer is probably best, to avoid any compatibility issues)
4. Type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar and press Enter
That should bring you to the router configuration page. Sometimes it is password protected. Normally the default username and password are something like “admin” and “password” but you can check the documentation online for the default. If you cannot find it, then you can press the litte button on the back of the router to reset it.
Once you are in, you must enable wifi via the interface and you should be all set. Remember to plug in your internet access into the router in order to access the internet wirelessly.
