linksys wireless router help number

laptop wont connect to wireless router help…….?

Hi, I have a desktop with wireless connection with the linksys router model number (WRT54GS) works great on desktop and it DID work on my laptop until I had to reinstall windows XP ( resone to reinstall was a black screen that said it was turned off incorrectly) Now I dont even see the connection I did the set up a connection thing anstill dont see it at the bottom of my screen or anywhere else…how do I get my laptop to sign on to my wireless connection??

first, try to ping the router, see if you get a reply or just time out. If there’s no reply, you got a prob with the connection. try connecting them with a cable and see if things get better.

second, if you’re not using a third party software to manage the wireless connection, make sure Zero configuration utility if enabled and started (right click my computer->manage->services and look for Zero…).
Sometimes if helps to disable and enable the wirless card.
