linksys wireless router home router

I received a Linksys wireless router from a friend and I want to know how to hook it up to my home computer.?

is easy…u probably have a DSL or Cable Modem;
u unplug the Cat 5 cable (the one that looks like a phone wire but the plastic connector is a lot biger) from the computer and plug it in the router into the Wan port the one that is separate from the other 4 plugs; than u get onther Cat 5 cable and plug it into one of the 4 ports available on the router and plug it back into the computer; Also if the router was used befor u may wanna press the reset buton located on the back of the router; Once u done that u need to power down the modem the router and the computer and power it up in this order; Modem (wait 2 min until it loads up) than the router and than the computer; and u should be on!
that will alow u to have your desktop computer still connected; and now u will be able to pick the signal form the router on your laptop; and just connect. goodluck!
