Router installer problem?
I have an Linksys Dual-Band Wireless A+G Broadband Router model no. WRT55AG and i lost the cd installer. Now I can’t make the router work properly. Please can you give me a website where I can download the installer itself?
I have provided a link to the Linksys website below – the user guide and quick install guide are linked on the right – I suggest you download these to start.
By accessing the router itself (type 192.168.1.1 into your browser) and entering the username and password (default is a blank username with the password “admin”) you are presented with all the options to set up the router yourself. From here you should be able to enter any settings that you need to alter for your internet setup; I cannot advise what it is you need to do as I know nothing about your connection.
Reading the user guide will help you greatly understand your router and will also offer you knowledge into what are becoming essential now; port forwarding and wireless security.
