How do I change my router’s default gateway IP?
I have a linksys wireless router, and I just got a Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector, so I could use my Nintendo DS onlince, but it isn’t working and it says that I need to find the IP adress in my router’s settings and change it to 192.168.2.1 Right now it is 192.168.1.1 I need to change it to 192.168.2.1, but I don’t know how to access my router’s settings… Please help me, I’m horrible with computers…
Bring up a browser on your PC and go to “http://192.168.1.1″
You’ll get the configuration web page for your linksys router (If you haven’t changed the default password it’s ‘admin’)
Fill in the “local IP address” field with 192.168.2.1 –You’re going to lose the connection for your PC at this point, so you’ll have to reboot.
