IP address for Xbox 360 keeps failing! PLEASE HELP?
Ok, I have a linksys router WCG200. I looked at my IP address subnet mask and gateway default gateway, go to "Run" then type cmd and then ipconfig / all. This is what I have. My IP address is 192.168.1.100. Subnet Mask is 255.255.255.0. And default gateway is 192.168.1.100. I have tried to put that on my Xbox 360 but it doesn't work. I have my wireless network to work, but I cannot seem achieve this. Also, do not get any response when I typed in 192.168.1.100 in the Internet bar. PLEASE HELP! JUST WANT TO XBOX LIVE! ((I have also dhcp on, and I tried to put the automatic configuration))
I had a similar problem. If your Internet connection requires a user name and password then you must add those to your Xbox. In the configuration screen on which to test the connection to the press the right bumper and it will take to page configuration where you can add your password and user name.
