problems connecting to my Linksys WRT54GC wireless router and my ntl / virgin 250 modem cable?
tried to setup with the disk provided to the point asking for the address type to dhcp then check tells me there is no connection so tried the other address types and put my address ip then I asked the host and domain names that I dont know, so he tried another and then type the URL request my username and password so I put in what I thought it was and still told me there is no connection guesssing I'm doing something silly but do not know what all the bad ideas
Clicking Start Reset button on the back of the unit for 10 + seconds with a clip, then a moment to remove the power plug. Power cycle the modem, plug the router. Make sure you have the cable modem to the router connected to correct port. The internet connection light on the router should start pulse at a rate established after obtaining an IP address. You can then connect your computer to the router port and select repair by right-clicking the taskbar icon. You may have to open IE and go to Tools / Internet Options / Connections and Communications or the top right of execution of the installation. Select a computer with direct connection. After that you should be able to get online. Go to Linksys website and in the support section for the device that will help in establishing security and change the password.
