Please help wireless router config. without installation cd?
I just purchased a linksys wrt54gc wireless router and i am trying to hook it up to my dsl but i dont have the firmware and when i downloaded the firmware(multiple times) it says that i dont have right format but i opened it with daemons tools because it is a img file. well anyway i tryed to type in the default ip address and it is just coming up with my dsl modem. so i can get the web utility to come up. i have been working on this for a while and i am not dumb with computers if any suggestions please help me i dont know what eles to do. thanks
I would call Linksys tech support. I had a similiar problem with a D-Link router. There are some config things they did AND I had to call SBC/AT&T and get help with my DSL modem recognizing the router as well.
