XP-Vista wireless networking issues?
I have a desktop running WinXP Home edition SP2 and a laptop running Windows Vista. They are both connected to a Speedstream wireless router with a DSL connection. I got the IP addresses from the router but I cannot ping either one of them. The router submask is 192.168.254.xxx. They can both connect to the router just fine, just not to each other. The XP desktop is using a Linksys Wireless G USB adapter and the desktop is using a built in Broadcom wireless G networking card.
One or both of them may have a firewall blocking pings. You may have to adjust the firewall rules to permit pings from your LAN.
Hope that helps.
