How do i get my linksys router password back?
I have a linksys router, i have no idea what model i just know its a wireless g with speedbooster, and i have forgotten my login password. I have tried doing a hard reset of the router as well as unplugging it and plugging it back in. Is there any way to reset or change the password without logging into the router on 192.168.1.1?
You must not be doing the hard reset properly or you do not know the default factory default password for the admin…
Usually, holding the reset button on the back for 30 seconds or so will do a factory reset of a router.
Default admin usernames and passwords are usually
admin admin
admin blank
You do know what model of router you have… Pick it up and read it. Go to the Linksys web site and download the manual (if you do not have the paper copy handy) and find out how to do a proper reset and look up the default username and password.
