linksys wireless router long range
I have a Dell desktop computer that has access, but cannot connect to any unsecured network?

Years ago I bought wireless internet I have no more, but some reason it is first in line when I right click on the radio and see wireless networks in range, and insurance. I have no this and wanted to connect to a linksys free, are two connections for some reason, 1 and 2 and linksys2 was doing well, then I think that my Mcafee fixes his car and tried to go back and return it to the setting that had to be able to get the Internet. I have the old netgear usb on my computer that was used for the other wireless network that used be that it was safe. I have plugged in and still has not given me any problems. How do you connect to an unsecured network, when I try to tell my computer to check my wireless router, but I'm not sure what this is or has ever had one .. Please help me. If you can dummy down the instructions to help me. Thanks This could be a silly question, but it's a Net gear wireless router so I plugged in the usb?

make sure your wireless router is connected to the modem and computer. (It should be connected to the computer via. Ethernet or USB) then go to internet and type 192.168.100.1. It will take you to the wireless network Installation of your linksys router. pI I think the username is admin and the password is the password. Secure your wireless network, or unsafe it is, click the Save Changes button. Now its release wireless router, restart the computer and try it and see if you can connect. If this fails, try to renew and update the address IP. Hope this helps
