My Wii will not pick up my router’s signal. Why?
My Wii cannot detect my Linksys WRT54GS Wireless – G router. When I search for access points, it keeps saying that there are no access points nearby. My router and the Wii are literally a foot away. I have tried manual setup, too. I checked, double-checked, and then triple-checked to make sure that all of the info was correct. It still isn’t working. My router fits all the qualifications and it should be letting the Wii detect it.
What am I doing wrong? Is it the router? Is my Wii not functioning properly? PLEASE help.
Also, my DS picks up the signal flawlessly.
I’m trying to use my wireless network to get onto WiFi. I have no idea what a Nintendo WiFi transceiver is.
I’ve tried many different channels. The only difference now when I search for an access point. Instead of telling me that no access points are in range, it just keeps trying to find it.
I had an error with my Wii not picking up my Wifi signal as well, and what fixed it was logging into my router and changing the channel the wifi was broadcasting on. I think my cordless phone might have been interfering…I changed it from channel 1 to channel 10 and it immediately recognized it. Something to try, at least.
