Hello I need help Internet router / modem?
Hi I am looking to move my ISP and when we started our service that we got a motorola SBG900 gateway surfboard. I think it's all in a router and modem. We currently have a cable or wireless service plan and with our new ISP will be getting ADSL 2 plus. I been searching the internet for a new router / modem and only those who say DSL is, does this mean I'll need a cable modem and then plug in the router / Modem. The router / modem thingy that I was going to buy a home Linksys wireless N ADSL2 modem router. I'm not much of a guru as regards the establishment of networks so if someone could help would mean a lot. Greetings Jack
His current work SBG900 as a modem cable, if you have to make another you can buy one from Best Buy for about $ 130.00 or you can buy the Linksys model WCG200 from Best Buy for about $ 80 and even cheaper if you get one that has been refurbished. The only thing you need to consider is the WAN port, if you accept an Ethernet cable, which is intended to be connected to a modem. A cable modem will have a F-59 connector is a screw into the connector like the back of a TV. You want the one with the F-59 connector
