linksys wireless router no internet connection

Linksys Wireless router- No Internet, help please?

I accidently disconnected all the cables (comp.dsl modem.router etc.) and when i connected everything back the Internet wasn’t working, I have Linksys wireless USB network adapter and a Linksys wireless-G WRT54G router.
When i first installed it the network adapter would connect to the router but the router couldn’t access the Internet, i right-clicked the connection and clicked Repair and after that it worked just fine until all the cables got disconnected.
Now the network adapter connects to the router but the router cant access the Internet, I clicked repair, disconnected everything, and installed the network adapter again but it still dosen’t work… can anyone help me please??
P.S: I can connect to the Internet using the router just fine from my laptop… so what’s wrong?

Do a power cycle shut down everything including Modem Router and Computer. Restart Modem First then Router than the computer. Make sure you have a straight ethernet cable from the router to the WAN port on the router.
