What kind of connection speeds for LINKSYS WRT300N Wireless-N Broadband Router?
I was just curious if this was normal for the new LINKSYS WRT300N Wireless-N Broadband Router. I have a desktop and a laptop. I didn’t have any problems installing the router or software. I was wondering what connection speeds that everyone was getting. I’m getting 100.0 mbps on the desktop and on the laptop with a wireless connection I’m getting 54.0 mbps compared to the microsoft wireless b router I had before, the desktop is the same and the laptop was like 11.0 mbps. I figured that the desktop would have improved as well, but I guess it must be the nic card installed on the desktop. Anyone who has this linksys router, let me know what kind of speeds you’re getting.
Your 100.0 Mbps is standard for all 10/100 NIC’s. Your router will have nothing to do with it. Your 54.0 Mbps for your wireless is standard for all wireless g routers and wireless adapters. You basically wasted your money on a Wireless N router because you are getting the same speeds as a wireless G router. Sorry dude.
