if i reinstall windows will effect my linksys wireless router’s setting ?
if in case i need to reinstall windows xp or vista because of a hardware or worm virus problem, will it effect the computer that i’ve setted up the wireless router on, will the settings of the router be gone? I don’t wanna call the technical support again because they make me wait.
No, the router will be fine. However, you may need to reinstall your network driver on your pc. You havent provided pertinent info such as its make and model, whether it was purchased brand new or someone built it, whether the hardware devices were added by someone, etc. Too many variables need answering
