Will a range extender help our situation?
At our house we’ve got a decent Wireless-G route at one of the side walls of the house. Roughly 100 ft from there is the living room, where most of the wireless computers are, and another room at the complete opposite side of the house. The router seems to be substantially more unreliable as the distance becomes greater between the router and the user.
My question is: would a wireless-g extender provide the solution to our problem? If so, do you have any recommendations? If we have a Linksys router, can I use a D-Link range extender? Or does it have to be of the same manufacturer?
Any make of range extender will do, it needs to be munted as high as possible, clear of obstructions and within range of the router
