Internet problems, please help!!! (10 pts)?
We have 2 computers in our household, a notebook and a desktop which are both connected to a (Linksys- which has both wire and wireless) router. The problem is that when I connect the desktop to the modem, the internet works perfectly. However when I connect the desktop to the router, my internet is very unsteady (disconnecting every couple minutes or so ) which is very annoying. I know this because when im connected to msn messanger it disconnects me, or when im on the internet the page cannot be displayed, and then it comes back.
Anyway, I have to use the router because we have two computers so i cant just use the modem. Our router is very new, (id say about a month old) so I dont think its broken/ too old. Should I reset my router or modem to fix this? Any advice???

Try resetting the router, push in the pin with a pen & turn it off for a minute. Also try ipconfig from the command prompt to see if there aren’t any IP Address duplications. Good Luck!!
