We want to establish a WiFi connection between several houses close to each other.?
In my case, my next door neighbor has a cable internet connection and I have a Dell laptop with wifi card, but when I connect the signal is very weak, but I have a Linksys Wireless G Router with SpeedBooster boardband that a friend gave me and I would be able to transmit wirelessly connect my laptop to the router and having to connect to this computer, but left others safely and do not know how I can connect to it. So I got on the Linksys site for instruction but no instructions on how to do this. First of all I can do and if so how I can diable the security fence that was created. I hope I made myself clear because there is really nothing to WiFi, but the creation of this small WiFi system sounds like a good idea. Thanks for any help. Fred
Ok, what you need is in another access point in between for that connections remain strong. Now as regards the security features, usually just go straight into the router, normally http://192.168.1.1 or 0.1. From there you can configure the wireless settings.
