need help setting up linksys router with comcast?
i have an old linksys router befw11s4 ver. 4 model. i just got hsi with comcast and trying to get a wireless set up for my laptop. any tips on how to get this linksys working with my comcast wirelessly? got the latest firmware for my linksys set up. it is DHCP and i set it up to obtain automattically. i also got the wireless setup with security as well. it just fails to connect to the internet. any advice and expertise would be greatly appreciated
THis is an older B type router that might not connect well if you have a G type adapter on the computer that is not backward compatible. Look closely at the specs for the wifi adapter you use on the computer to see if it will connect with a B type router.
