Need help with Linksys WRT54G wireless router?
I have Verizon Fios high speed internet. just recently, the router that verizon provided for us randomly stopped working. but the internet was still working fine, so there must not be a problem with the modem. all i had to do was connect the internet cable from the router to the computer.
i need a wireless router for online gaming, my buddy had a Linksys WRT54G wireless router that he didnt need any more so i took it. i have connected every wire to the right plug. everything is connected. all the proper lights on the router show green and do not flash. for some reason though, i can not access the internet on the computer when the router is connected. the router is plugged into the computer through an ethernet cable in the ethernet port and i am able to access the router setup page. i have tried configuring it to the best of my knowledge but nothing seems to work… i have not contacted my ISP, but rather, look for an easier solution
please tell me what i should do. thanks
