What happens to my Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router 2.4 GHz? Model # WRT54G?
It worked last night and then tried to use this morning and it is not working! Using the Internet in circuit without it now! Like the phone to labtop. On the front panel Ethernet ports 1-4 blinking no power light comes on! He tried to restart all the software as my first installation with router but still nothing! I do not think that's so old, it took a shit on me and has to buy a new one or does anyone have any idea? I tried to disconnect one time, it still has not worked. And I used on my other computer because it has a wireless adapter and still nothing! Is the Wireless-G Broadband Router with speedboaster better or faster? There is power to the router! Power light not illuminated, but the Ethernet ports 1 to 4 flash!
Before concluding that the router is toast, try disconnecting the power for 30 seconds or less. Then restart the computer (or simply try to reconnect the cable) a minute after that. If that fails, restart the router (you will need to consult the manual or Google for the proper procedure), which must restart the router back to factory specifications, in which case you will need to reconfigure as you just bought. If that does not work, yeah, I guess that your router is toast and needs to be replaced. (Unless, of course, the problem is with your laptop? Have you tried a different laptop, or at least restart his?)
