Turn off the radio waves wireless router when not needed?
I have a Linksys WRT54G2 wireless router and want to disable the wireless function temporarily. I'm not happy that continually blasting my lower regions with radio waves while sitting on the desktop, especially when the function Wireless is not necessary. (I only use a laptop once a week or less.) In the setup and configuration software is a "Disable" under "Wireless Network Mode." Am I correct in assuming this will stop all radio waves, and still allows me access to my DSL modem through router?
yes, that option should disable the wireless function. To verify this, simply open the network connection and see if you can still see network.
