Having trouble downloading with utorrent and using intrenet w\ linksys router… help?
Ok… I have a linksys wrt54g wireless router attached to my time warner cable modem. Whenever i start downloading with utorrent, it basically kills the rest of the connection.
we have my computer, and my wifes laptop connecting to this and i have seen the connection speed saying 7000down 450 up, but still when i am downloading torrents it makes it so that you can’t surf w\ either computer.
i have utorrent setup w\ a range of ports to use, and i cant think of anything else.
Well, a possibility is that utorrent is hogging much of the bandwidth of the internet so im not too sure but maybe you can set the download to low priority.
Another suggestion i have is maybe to forward the ports that utorrent is using? Is the DHT at the bottom in green? That could probably speed things up.
Maybe you can repair the connection also?
