I have the Linksys 802.11B wireless router.
I have no setup disk and I have no idea what the SSID is. How do I obtain both?? Ideally I would like to find a site that has a direct download for the software
To enter the router’s set up all that you need to do is go to any browser and type the Linksys default address into the URL bar. The default address for Linksys routers is “192.168.1.1″ Type that number without the quotes (of course), but make sure you use the periods between number sets. It will then take you to a sign on window. By default the Name (or SSID) is left blank, and the password is “admin” (no quotes). This should get you into the basic setup for the Linksys Router. There is no software to install.
