Wireless to Cat5e computer off or on durring cable plug in?
I have one computer accessing the Linksys router via wireless. I’d like more reliable connection. I purchased a cat5e and would like to connect it to my PC then the router. Before this happens should I uninstall the linksys wireless and leave the computer on when I plug the cable in or should I turn off the computer etc. I already have all the workgroup,file sharing,printer done from before.
You don’t have to uninstall linksys wireless application, just disable the wireless adapter if you do not wish to use it.
Plug in both end of cables to your computer and router, then configure your network adapter with IP and other network information. It should work then..
