I bought a new Linksys WRT54G2 router, how I can get my other computers (wireless) to connect?
I am running Windows Vista. My WRT54G2 old was having problems, so I went to buy a new one. My computer is connected to the router with a cable, and my connection is fine, but the other two teams (who were able to connect to my wireless router so old before) are now unable to connect. my sister's computer is running Windows XP and the computer my dad is running Vista as well. They have the wireless USB adapter on their computers. We are using a wide extender (also Linksys) to enhance the signal. We live in a rural area – as are other wireless networks around, but the problem is that their teams can not even find my network to connect a. * Any ideas? I'm so confused and frustrated. Thanks!
If I remember correctly, Linksys wireless capability is disabled by default. Even if you have used all failures in the old system, and do not remember doing any configuration changes, you still have to remember to turn it on.
