Name of driver to detect ethernet cable?
I am using a Linksys WRT54G v5.0 Wireless-G Broadband Router but it won’t detect my ethernet cable. Does anyone know the name of the driver I need and possibly a link to where I can download it
I updated my firmware and my ethernet light is up but i am not able to establish internet through the ethernet (local area connection). I am only able to get internet from my compact wireless usb

No need for drivers to detect ethernet cables. Drivers are only used for hardware that you are connecting (such as a printer) or installing in the computer.
Do you mean that you are not getting a link light when you connect your cable to the router? Try using another cable.
If everything is connected correctly, reboot everything and try again.
