Which wireless router would be best for my needs? D-LINK DI-655? For desktop, 2 laptops and a PS3?
Hello I’ve had a linksys wrt54g for some time now and it used to operate fun until recently it’s been nothing but a pain! The desktop which it’s attached to works as it should, but being in the basement (router is currently on main floor) I am constantly losing and regaining service over, and over, and over again. When I’m on AIM I sign off, am disconnected, and so on. My Playstation gives me the same problem when I play online. It connects at times, then says cannot obtain IP address at other times. I called my ISP and they said everything’s fine. I called linksys and they walked me through with some solutions that did help temporarily, but back to square one. I was thinking to buy the D-LINK DI-655. Not sure about all this wireless N or g or b stuff but the reviews all seem to be leaning towards this one. Would anyone have a recommendation for me as to what router I should go with or if the one I mentioned is just fine? Thanks very much
