Connecting Microsoft MN 500 router to have Internet service on the desktop and laptop, please help:)?
Note, not expert computer issues, I have the microsoft router 500 minutes without software. I connected the modem router. Now laptop can get the service Internet, but desktop says "a network cable is unplugged". Laptop has wireless card. The program has xpsp2 but no wireless adapter (not really believe that needed). Afraid to start doing things until you know what to do. I had this setup in my house and everything was fine. Now moving it to the bride and groom – can not do work right. I hope one of you genius types … Please help. Thank you very much
Hi, how many slots Ethenet (slightly larger shots phone) have MN500. If you have 2 (one for the modem and one for the computer). All u have to do is connect the desktop to MN500 using an ethernet cable and everything will be well. Sorry, coun't much details abt the MN500. U either need to get a wireless adapter for your desktop. Goodluck, x + GoosyGeek.
