How do I find my computers WEP key?
I have a microsoft wireless broadband router MN 500 and an HP tablet computer (built in wireless card). How can I find the WEP key?
Login to the router and go to the security settings, although even then the WEP key may be encrypted and you won’t be able to see it
To login to the router open a web browser and type in the ip address. Should be something like 192.168.0.1. If you are not sure, open a command prompt:
Start
Run
Type cmd in the box and hit enter
At the prompt type ipconfig /all
Note the “Default Gateway”, as this is the IP address of your router.
