i have a netgear 108 mbps wireless router (wgt624) installed correctly on my main computer, how do i use it on

my laptop using a belkin 802.11g wireless card? i cannot connect to the internet while in its range, i entered the Network Key (WEP/WPA Key) under the wireless network connection properties and the belkin card status says;
Connected to: Scanning…

any advice would be helpful.
i can connect to the internet at various wifi hotspots but not at home.
help!
how do i log onto the router??
how do i make sure i am ssid????
how do i find the router settings on the main desktop?
i cant find it.

Your laptop may be trying to connect to the hotspots as your home access point is on the bottom of the list. You should go to your wireless settings and delete the wireless hotspots and make sure you are connected to your SSID on your router.
