netgear wireless router as switch
Can my Netgear Wireless Router receive an internet connection from another router?

I just recently switched isp from Sky to Tiscali and as such have replaced my sky Netgear wireless router with tiscali’s Siemens Gigset router.

My question is, can I still use the netgear router as a wireless internet receiver when I connect it up to my other PC? And if so how would I go about this?

If it’s not possible then I guess I have a useless spare router that’s just gonna collect dust! I don’t want to waste a perfectly good router so any suggestions on what to do with it will help.

Thanks in advance.

the make of the router should not matter for the broadband provider as long as it is still an ADSL connection.
If the netgear router is not locked to sky then you will be able to simply input the Tiscali broadband details and use it to connect to your new internet.
Much better than having a normal router if you use the wireless funtion.
