Do I need a new router, or do I need 2?
I have a NetGear WGT624 v3. I have 2 Gateway, Dell 1, and 1 Sony Vaio laptop that I have a hard for all to connect at the same time. At best, I get 3 out of 4, but usually only 2 of them at a time when it appears. Sometimes, when a notebook computer by proxy, is not able to connect to the network as soon as you start a backup. I have to take the router with a PC at work and change the wireless channel. I do all day. In order to solve my problem, do you think I need a newer and up to date router? If so, exactly what have I'm looking for? Do you think could get away with connecting a second router and split the workload wirelessly between laptops? Thanks for your help .. You should get a new router. Most new routers can easily handle four or more computers connected together. If you decide to buy a new one, must choose a Wireless-N router. These routers are much easier install and can transfer data at a rate much faster than similar-g wireless routers. The link below sells a great (and cheap) Wireless-N CNET Router teams rated by some of the best for your money. If the router is about $ 95, you must wait until it goes on sale again. The sale price is slightly less $ 75. Http: / / www.directron.com/
